One is a sculpted polycarbonate nugget of technology with an emphasis on form over function; the other is a comparatively conservative slab of faux metal, bearing the most user-accessible customizability we’ve seen in the premium Windows Phone 8 space.
But will an expandable memory card slot, removable battery, and giant display be enough to put the Samsung ATIV S over the top in the battle with the incumbent heavyweight of the Windows Phone 8 space, the Nokia Lumia 920? Or will its lean custom app selection and unremarkable chassis spell doom for its aspirations to outperform its competition? More potently: are those aspirations real or imagined?
